Introduction to Scryn

Get to Know Your Attack Surface - Scryn Security Testing Platform

Scryn is a security testing platform for web applications and APIs. Here's why we built it and what it does—in plain language.

Why we built Scryn

Websites and web apps are constantly under threat. Hackers look for weak spots—broken authentication, leaky data, or misconfigured servers. Finding those issues before they do is essential, but running security tests used to mean setting up complex tools, maintaining servers, and spending a lot of time on configuration.

We built Scryn so that teams can run professional security scans without that overhead. You point Scryn at your app or API, and it checks for common vulnerabilities, generates clear reports, and fits into how you already work—including scheduled scans and optional use in your CI/CD pipeline.

What Scryn does

In simple terms, Scryn does three main things:

  • Scans your application. You give Scryn the URL of your website or API. It then runs different types of checks—from quick passive checks to deeper active tests—to find security issues like SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), or insecure configuration.
  • Reports what it finds. Every finding is listed with a risk level (e.g. High, Medium, Low) and practical details so you know where the problem is and how to fix it. You can also mark false positives so they don't clutter future scans.
  • Fits your workflow. You can run scans on demand, on a schedule, or (where supported) as part of your build pipeline. If parts of your app require login, you can configure authentication so Scryn tests those areas too.

Who it's for

Scryn is for development teams, small businesses, and anyone who wants to improve the security of their web applications without becoming a full-time security expert. You get clear, actionable results so you can fix issues and ship with more confidence.

Getting started

You can sign up, add your first target URL, and run a scan in minutes. No heavy setup or deep security background required. If you want to go further, you can set up authentication for protected areas, schedule recurring scans, and use the API for automation.

If you have a web app or API and want to start finding and fixing security issues in a simple way, Scryn is built for that. We're glad you're here.
